Auditions will be held for the on-campus production of a world famous off-Broadway play in the Bud Frank Theater on Tuesday, Jan. 14. Call-backs will be Wednesday, Jan. 15, at 6 p.m. to cast three to five women for the funny and poignant play by Eve Ensler, The Vagina Monologues.
The monologues dive into the mystery, humor, pain, power, wisdom, outrage and excitement buried in women’s experiences. Ensler first conceived the play as a form of raising awareness about the violence against women throughout the nation. Her anti-violence message is now heard nationwide.
Women of all ages, races, ethnicities and majors are strongly encourged to audition. Scripts are currently on reserve in the library. Show dates are set for Saturday, Feb. 22, and Sunday, Feb. 23. For more information about the production, call Dr. Amber Kinser at 439-7571.
