As of today, ETSU will no longer accept payments of tuition and other fees by telephone through the GoldLink registration system.
Through the GoldLink system, students may register for classes, obtain grades, request transcripts and perform other functions.
After Monday, credit card fee payments will be accepted by GoldLink Online and may be made by mail or in person at the Office of the Comptroller. All other GoldLink functions will still be available by telephone.
According to Mark Bragg, director of Client Support Services in ETSU’s Office of Information Technology, this is part of the university’s plan to phase out older technology.
He explained that the aging software controlling the telephone payment function is not compatible with the university’s newer computer systems.
Although the majority of fee payments for this spring semester, which began Wednesday, Jan. 8, have already been made, the elimination of the telephone fee payment option will affect the way by which students make late and deferred payments.
To make payments, students may visit GoldLink Online at https://goldlink.etsu.edu/ahomepg.htm; pay by mail at Office of the Comptroller, East Tennessee State University, Box 70719, Johnson City, TN 37614; or visit the cashier’s windows in the Comptroller’s Office on the second floor of the Burgin E. Dossett Hall administration building. For more information, call the Comptroller’s Office at 439-4212.
