ETSU’s senior wide receiver Cecil Moore was named to Don Hansen’s National Football Gazette Southeast Region Team. Moore was a second-team selection, which is made up of players from the Big South, MEAC, Northeast and Southern Conferences.
Moore had 44 receptions for 682 yards and seven touchdowns in 2002, leading the Bucs in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns for the third straight season. Moore ranks second behind Buc legend B.J. Adigun, in the ETSU record book in career receptions (161) and career receiving yards (2,488). His 19 career touchdown receptions ties him for third in ETSU history.
Moore will participate in the Rotary Gridiron Classic College All-Star Game on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium in Orlando, Fla. The game, televised on ESPN2, will feature athletes from the state of Florida matching up against athletes from the rest of the United States.
