Dear Editor:
Everyday more and more attention is being given to the war in Iraq.
It has gotten to the point where you cannot open a newspaper or turn on the television without seeing something about the war.
As with anything that happens, in our country today, people have thoughts both for and against the war.
Some even go as far as to compare the current war to the Vietnam War. The reasons that we are in the current struggle may, or may not be, the same as those that caused us to go to Vietnam, but the one thing that is the same is the moral of the people on the home front.
Although it was quite a few years before my time, I have seen videos and pictures of people protesting against the Vietnam War, and it seems the same is happening now.
Everyone is quick to voice their opinions against us being in Iraq.
It seems nobody takes the time to think about what these protests say to the men and women that are fighting in Iraq.
No matter what a person’s opinion is, be it for or against the war, it is important to remember to remain united as a country.
We must support our military and support our troops that fight and die everyday.
