Dear Editor,
As I look back on the events of the past year several key instances pop into my head.
Of course everyone remembers the vote to get football back, and who could possibly forget the parking situation.
However, the one thing I will take from this past year of education is the fact that one of the more active presidents in the University’s history, is stepping down.
Dr. Stanton will be greatly missed by all of those who actually could appreciate what he has accomplished in his tenure.
I find it such a shame that he is not more respected by the student body as a whole for everything he has done for us the students.
I for one agree that the vote to bring back football was the best way to go, and I also believe that the parking situation is the best idea that has been presented so far. It really bothers me that so many people are being disrespectful toward Stanton when it comes to the parking situation.
To all those who are complaining, if you have a better idea don’t just sit back and complain, do something about it and present a better idea.
Stanton has been at the forefront of many changes within the university, and his ideals will be remembered for years to come, and his visions will continue to be recognized year after year. This university will not be better off by him stepping down.
