Two ETSU staff members reported the theft of two televisions on Aug. 11 from Gilbreath Hall, the math and theatre building, according to police report. The staff members stated in the report that someone entered Room 209, a storage room, and took a Sony television. Another TV was reported as stolen from Room 116 in Gilbreath Hall. The staff reported that the TVs were there on the week of Aug. 4, and that was the last that the staff members noticed them.
The cart that had held the first floor television was found empty on the west side northern exit on the first floor, the report states. The cart for the second floor television was on the south end of that floor against a wall. The staff members stated in the report that the VCR and DVD players were left in the floor of the storage room. They noticed the television was missing the day they filed the incident. Public Safety Officer D. Patton stated that there was no force entry found into the rooms, and that the TVs were valued at less than $500.
