Track and Field names Sunquist new assistant

Head ETSU track and field coach David Walker announced the hiring of a new assistant, Eli Sunquist, on Wednesday afternoon.
Sunquist brings an excellent track record to the Buccaneer program, both as a coach and an athlete. The Pittsburgh, Pa., native spent the past two years coaching the Charlotte 49ers, his alma mater, where he supervised all the male and female field event athletes. Sunquist is member of the National Pole Vault Coaches Association and United States Track & Field and Cross Country Association. He and his wife Tara, a former UNF volleyball standout, reside in Johnson City.

A day in the life of Tara Davis

Leading up to the 2008-09 ETSU women’s basketball season, the ETSU media relations office, with help from graduate assistant Lindsay Christensen, will feature player profiles on all 12 of the Lady Buccaneer student-athletes. This new segment allows fans to catch a glimpse of what each player is doing off the court, as the Lady Bucs look to make a run at their second straight NCAA Tournament appearance.
As Tara continues through her college career, it is likely that she will make an impact not only on the court, but also in the classroom.
