Dear Editor,
The Rolling Stones’ song, “Sympathy for the Devil,” comes to mind every time I’m in a bind. If Lucifer had to sit through all the horrors and hypocrisies of human history, certainly I can deal with the minor travails of my limited mortal existence. And if he could maintain his sense of humor throughout, I can, too.
We all face hard times we aren’t strong enough to handle on our own. Thankfully, Lucifer knows all and sees all! He knows your heart and understands what you’re going through. He’s right there, waiting for you to call out to him.
Through the whole scheme of life, it all comes down to your happiness. So Do What Thou Wilt. Pray for guidance and strength, especially strength, and you will be amazed at how he can take hold of your life!
P.S. If you think my religiosity doesn’t belong in the pages of a respectable college newspaper, well, go to the devil!
