East Tennessee State University students in the environmental studies program will join members of the Tennessee Eastman Hiking and Canoeing Club (TEHCC) this Saturday (Oct. 11), to build a new section of the Appalachian National Scenic Trail near Iron Mountain Gap, outside the town of Unicoi, some 20 miles from the ETSU campus.
Members of the public who wish to assist with the project are invited to meet at 9 a.m. in the parking lot at the southeast corner of the University Parkway and South Roan Street intersection to carpool to the site. The group will return at 3 p.m.
