After a week long absence, I’m back to once more enlighten you as to what’s on this week.
With the presidential debates finally to an end, this week’s viewing choices can once more be considered uninterrupted. The usual shows are joined this week by the beginning of the World Series.
Monday brings with it a new episode to every channel. At 8 p.m. we find Paris Hilton’s former gal pal, Nicole Ritchie doing her much talked about guest role on NBC’s “Chuck.”
In the episode entitled “Chuck versus the Cougars,” finds Ritchie playing the high school bully to tough girl spy Sarah.
In order to stop a bomb threat, Sarah is forced to attend her high school reunion and face her former enemy on a whole new level.
At 9 p.m., all three major networks are offering great options. ABC offers “Samantha Who?,” as Christina Applegate returns to the amnesic character she made so popular last season.
FOX offers “Prison Break,” which is sure to leave fans begging for more as it is rumored that there will be three major deaths before mid- season, one of whom may be a shock to loyal fans.
Over on NBC, “Heroes” continues to entertain fans with its countless twists and turns. This week brings the return of Petrelli patriarch Arthur Petrelli who, until last week’s episode, had been believed dead. Instead, he has been revealed as the leader of the “villains.”
Before the World Series consumes most viewers, Tuesday has a little dancing and a little deadly science for viewers to enjoy.
At 8 p.m. on ABC is the recap show of “Dancing with the Stars,” followed by the results show. After last week’s elimination of famed chef Rocco Dispirito, fans are left wondering who goes home next.
At 9 p..m., FOX has another exciting episode of J.J. Abrams’ “Fringe.” This week finds the team investigating the reappearance of a missing woman who returns with a mysterious disease that puts everyone who comes in contact with her at risk, including the team itself.
Wednesday can’t be talked about without mentioning game one of the World Series. Right now it will either be the Philadelphia Phillies versus either the Boston Red Sox or the Tampa Bay Rays.
If baseball isn’t for you, all of the other major networks are showing new episodes of their regular Wednesday night programming.
Thursday, as the World Series continues, finds the CW as the most interesting network of the night. At 8 p.m., is “Smallville.” In the episode entitled “Prey,” the show finally gives fans the glimpse of the character of Doomsday they’d been hoping for all season.
Doomsday, known to comic fans as the only person to ever succeed in killing Superman, has been portrayed this season in a different light.
Instead of an alien who appears to be made out of rock, he’s instead an innocent looking paramedic who has been getting closer to Chloe, Clark’s best friend, all season.
At 9 p.m. is “Supernatural.” This week’s episode entitled “Yellow Fever” finds the Winchesters investigating local murders where the victims appear to have been scared to death. Soon they discover the deaths to be the cause of a ghost sickness that soon infects Dean and leaves Sam in a race against time to find the cure before the disease claims his brother and sends him back to hell.
Also in Thursday’s episode is the reveal of the “surprise” the CW has been hinting to for the past two weeks through clips they’ve leaked online. What could the surprise be? Fans will have to tune in to find out.
