On March 25, the Basler Center for Physical Activity and American Collegiate Intramural Sports will be hosting ETSU’s first Campus Fitness Challenge from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m..
The Fitness Challenge is a nationwide event designed to promote exercise and good health in the spirit of competition.
Participating same-gender teams of two will be asked to compete in a series of fitness events designed to test strength, endurance, speed and agility. The events include a push-up challenge, sit-up challenge and a fitness obstacle course.
Winners will be selected from both the male and female divisions at the conclusion of the day. Prizes will be awarded to the top performers.
The top performers will also be considered for an opportunity to compete in the ACIS Fitness Nationals. Upon the conclusion of all Fitness Challenges, ACIS will randomly choose four of the highest-performing teams to compete in the Nationals at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., on April 25.
Students who wish to participate can register at the CPA, or send team names along with student ID numbers to ETSU’s ACIS Intern Justin Fields at zjtf6@goldmail.etsu.edu.
