Dear Editor,
In response to an article found online about the 10 year passing of the horrific school shooting at Columbine High School, I would like to ask myself and other readers if they feel safe in their school or university. Should we as students or faculty members be able to bear arms in order to protect ourselves from another massacre like this one to occur yet again? Should we walk into our school or student center and have to be searched or walk through a metal detector to look for weapons and other things that could cause harm to others? In reference to the 2nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, we as Americans have the right to bear arms. This will be a question lingering in all minds across America to try to find the way to keep children, teenagers and young adults safe in schools and universities.
