“Carbon Dating” is the theme of a sculpture and painting exhibit by Matt Oerly, a bachelor of fine arts (B.F.A.) student at East Tennessee State University. The exhibit will be on display March 29-April 2 at Tipton Gallery. A reception will be held on Friday, April 2, from 5-7 p.m. during the monthly First Friday celebration in Downtown Johnson City.
Oerly, who is a graduate of Daniel Boone High School, will receive his B.F.A. degree in May. His exhibit includes approximately 50 paintings and 10 pieces which can be purchased.
Tipton Gallery is located at 126 Spring Street. Gallery hours are Wednesday (March 31) and Thursday (April 1) from 4-6 p.m. and other times by appointment.
