On Tuesday, April 13, at 7:15 p.m. in Ball Hall auditorium, East Tennessee State University will host “The True Cost of Coal,” an art display and interactive presentation by the Beehive Design Collective, an activist arts and education group based in Maine.The free event features artwork illustrating the interrelationships between the people and ecology of Appalachia and the economics of coal production.

During the day of the event, members of the collective will set up a display table in the Cave patio area of the D.P. Culp University Center.

The ETSU environmental studies minor program and the student environmental organization I.C.E. (Initiative for Clean Energy) are sponsoring the program.
