The ETSU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Buccaneer Athletic Scholarship Association will host the program’s annual AT&T/BASA All-Sports Golf Tournament May 10 at The Ridges Golf and Country Club.The event – which will begin with registration at 10 a.m. and a shotgun start at 11 – will once again set a new standard that should be hard for other local spring and summer golf events to match.

With their paid registration fee, players in this year’s event will receive a golf duffle bag, men’s or women’s golf shoes, polo shirt, Dri-fit golf glove or shoe tote, and a dozen golf balls all provided by Nike. That’s nearly $350 in merchandise just for playing.

In addition, the amount and quality of both hole and door prizes will be unprecedented, with three $15,000 Hole-In-One Cash Prizes, as well as other gifts ranging from $250 gift cards courtesy of Best Buy to airline tickets from Tri-Cities Regional Airport to Orlando. During the event, boxed lunches will be provided by Heavenly Ham, and dinner will be catered at approximately 4 p.m.

“This tournament was a major step up for ETSU athletics two years ago, and we want to continue to build the event this year,” said ETSU Assistant Athletic Director Kevin Bostian. “We have put a great deal of time and effort into planning this event, and we hope our fans and supporters will be able to participate. It is the premier event in the Tri-Cities.”

As in years past, the event will feature several ETSU coaches and administrators, with many actually playing in the event.
