After suffering a tough loss the night before, the ETSU baseball came back to sweep the doubleheader and the take the series against Campbell winning 4-3 and 6-4 against the Camels Saturday at Taylor Field in Buies Creek, N.C.The series win is the fourth in Atlantic Sun play and the seventh overall as the Bucs have now won all three conference road series.

Starter Bo Reeder (Cookeville) picked up his third win for the Bucs (22-17, 11-7 A-Sun) in game one with a complete game victory. Reeder scattered nine hits limiting the Camels to three runs while striking out two. The sophomore retired 17 of the last 19 batters he faced including the final 10 of the game.

In the second game, junior Ben Booker (Knoxville) was outstanding going 8.0 innings limiting Campbell to four runs on nine hits with four strikeouts. With the win, Booker ties a school record for best pitching start as he improves to 5-0 on the season.

Parker Fleming was tabbed with the loss for the Camels (20-21, 6-15 A-Sun) in game one, while Logan Self was the losing pitcher of record in the second game.

Offensively, first baseman Paul Hoilman (Johnson City) led the way for the Bucs going 4-for-7 on the day with a home run, scored three runs and drove in two.

The Camels grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first inning as Chris Bangi came around to score on an Ellis Lowe single to left.

Josh Holskey scored on a ball hit to second by Cameron Nelson in the bottom of the second increasing the CU lead to 2-0.

In the third, Hoilman cut the Campbell lead to 2-1 as he crushed his 16th home run of the season over the fence in right center.

Campbell got the run back in the bottom half as Zach Johnson singled up the middle scoring Alex Aycoth to make the score 3-1 Camels.

After a couple scoreless innings, shortstop Kerry Doane (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) brought the Buccaneers within a run as he homered to left to cut the CU lead to 3-2.

ETSU rallied in the eighth scoring two runs on three hits to take a 4-3 lead. With the bases loaded, Doane drove in Andrew Green (Powell, Tenn.) from third on a ball hit to second. In the next at bat, left fielder Chas Byrne (Johnson City) drove a single through the left side of the infield scoring Hoilman to give the Buccaneers the lead.

The Bucs took an early 1-0 lead in the first as Matthew Scruggs (Knoxville) came in to score on a bases loaded walk to Reeder.

Campbell evened the score in the bottom of the second as Bryan Braswell drove in Josh Holskey on a sac fly to left.

ETSU regained the lead in the fifth as Hoilman drove in Garrett May (Marietta, Ga.) from third on a single through the left side to put the Bucs in front 2-1. In the bottom half, the Camels tied the game for the second time as Chris Bangi singled in Nelson from second to make the score 2-2.

The Bucs jumped back out in front 3-2 in the top of the eighth as catcher Derek Trent (Kingsport) came in to score on a Derek Niesman (Wellington, Fla.) sacrifice fly to right. Pinch hitter Michael Gonzalez (Jupiter, Fla.) came up big for the Bucs with a two out RBI single scoring Reeder to give ETSU a 4-2 lead in the inning.

Campbell answered in the bottom of the eighth on a two-run home run by Holskey to tie the game at 4-all.

After ETSU loaded the bases in the ninth, Hoilman came in to score on a wild pitch by Self to go ahead 5-4. The Bucs added an insurance run later in the inning as Reeder scored on a Byrne sac fly to left to make the score 6-4.

Junior Bo Burton (Kingsport) came in to throw a scoreless ninth as he earned his fifth save of the season.

The Bucs play at Radford Tuesday at 3 p.m.
