The Basler Center for Physical Activity is the place to be on Tuesday nights at 6 if you’re a female at ETSU. Of the many fitness classes offered for free by the CPA, Girls Nite Out is not only the most popular but is also the only fitness class geared directly toward the women of ETSU.”I wanted to have a class offering at the BCPA that was different from the others,” says CPA Fitness Coordinator Nani Wilemon. “I wanted a dance class where all us ladies could get together, have fun, be sexy and get a killer workout!”

The class is a flirty mix of cabaret, hip-hop and club moves that are easy to learn says Wilemon, who teaches the class.

Taught in previous semesters at ETSU, Girls Nite Out is a fun and intense workout for all women, regardless of previous dance experience.

“We do lots of lower body work,” says Wilemon. “The class is designed with a lot of hip movements and deep squats. Of course, all moves can be modified to each participant’s liking but overall, your hips, thighs and glutes will be getting a major workout!”

Girls Nite Out is offered every Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the main aerobics studio at the Basler Center for Physical Activity.
