The First Amendment guarantees the right to freedom to all who live in the land of the free. The freedom to speak up and speak out against injustice wherever you see it. The freedom to practice the faith you believe in.

We’re going to need to remove those lines in the national anthem about the ‘Land of the Free’ and the ‘Home of the Brave’.

Americans don’t vote. Anymore we don’t speak up about injustice that is getting out of control in America, and frankly, the ignorant nincompoops who actually believe that our tiny, Muslim minority poses an existential threat to the U.S. disgust me with their cowardice.

If only the right-wing Republicans could follow the beliefs of justice for all Americans.

Equality means all. We should not bow to cowardice and bigotry or racism.

America would be better off, and education is the only way to change it.

The phrase “separation of church and state” is derived from a private letter written by President Thomas Jefferson in 1802 to Baptists from Danbury, Conn.

In that letter, referencing the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, Jefferson writes, ” … I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.”
