The ETSU men’s tennis team earned several victories on the second day of the UVA Ranked Plus One Invitational, Saturday at the Snyder Tennis Center.After defeating Fred Saba of Duke in opening round play yesterday, ETSU sophomore Jesus Bandres (Caracas, Venezuela) defeated Maros Horny of Maryland 6-3, 6-4, Saturday afternoon in quarterfinal action. Bandres moved on to play Ivan Salec of Radford in the semifinals. Selec, who is ranked No. 57 defeated Bandres in a tough three-set match 2-6, 6-3, 6-2.

Sander Gille (Kuringen, Belgium) picked up a victory in the A-3 singles bracket on Saturday by defeating Ricardo Martin of Wisconsin 7-5, 6-4 in the consolation bracket. Bandres and Gille earned a doubles victory over Salec/Dehaen of Radford, 8-3.

No. 93 ranked Grega Teraz (Mojstrana, Slovenia) opened up play on Saturday by defeating Calin Paar of Nebraska before advancing to the consolation finals after knocking off Gilbert Wong of Binghamton, 6-3, 6-2.

Teraz teamed with Charles Bottoni (Bois Guillaume, France) to pick up a victory in consolation doubles over Fanselow/Chomette of Old Dominion, 8-2.
