Dear Editor:Mr. Birchfield, one day I hope you can learn to see past the partisan talking points that your letter endlessly spouted.

You say Americans lost 8.5 million jobs under Republican leadership.

Tell me, is that before or after Democrats took control of Congress in 2006?

The $1.4 trillion deficit you speak of was for fiscal year 2009, a budget constructed and passed by Democrats, not Republicans.

The Health Care Reform bill you speak of mandates the purchase of health insurance and will lead to many people being dropped from their employer-based health care plans.

That doesn’t sound like a way to save money as an individual or a country.

Results of the economic stimulus bill will be mixed as long as “jobs saved” continue to be counted, and furthermore, much of it was used on tax breaks and non-job creating spending.

It was supposed to keep unemployment under 8 percent. We’ve had 15 straight months over 9 percent unemployment. Failure.

As for your charge that Republicans are war criminals, please start building the jails for the soldiers committing murder, the Democrats who authorized and funded their murder, and the taxpayers who bankrolled their murderous plot and allowed it to occur.

One day, maybe you will see that both Democrats and Republicans use the government as an instrument of force to control the decisions of American citizens and enrich themselves and their puppetmasters.

Until then, go ahead and vote Democrat or Republican and keep wondering why you have less and less freedom.
