On Friday, Feb. 25, ETSU Housing and Residence Life hosted Pool Battleship in the CPA pool.

This event was the third in a series of year-long competitions among on-campus students, following Big Pink volleyball and mini-bowling. The last competition in this series will be a basketball skills contest on March 29.

Pool battleship involved four students in each boat trying to sink the other players’ boats.

Adrianna Guram, Associate Director of Housing Residence Life, spoke on the tactics of this game.

“Teams are provided with buckets, which they use to not only pour water into other team canoes, but to take water out of their own. In the end, the team left floating is the winner.”

Most campus recreational activities are held in the Wayne G. Basler Center for Physical Activity (CPA). There are many different activities that students can join in on, such as group fitness and personal training.

Students on and off campus are invited to join different intramural sports on campus. These include volleyball, basketball, soccer and slow-pitch softball. Students can find the sign up’s on the CPA campus recreation website.
