The annual Kingsport Book Fair, a Kingsport tradition since 1961, was in town from Feb. 23 to 26 at the Meadowview Convention Center.

Every year, the book fair boasts thousands of books and other media, spanning all genres. All profits from the book fair are pooled back into the community, by funding the Kingsport Public Library and its affiliated organizations and literacy initiatives. Items for sale in the book fair have been donated by community members, and sorting and pricing these donated items is a never-ending task.

“It’s a year round process,” event organizer Gail Preslar said. “The Monday that [the] book fair is over, we will start sorting and pricing books for next year.”
