Looking for good Italian food and cheap prices, all with the comfortable, relaxing setting of downtown?

Main Street Pizza is a delicious and unique small business in the heart of downtown Johnson City.

Located on East Main Street, they are a unique, locally owned small business.

Main Street Pizza grows a lot of their own food and source from local farmers.

Unique features of the restaurant include: seafood toppings, root beer barbecue sauce, mint tea and honey soda.

This restaurant is designed with college students in mind. (There’s only two options on the kids menu, pizza or spaghetti.)

They have a college special Monday through Friday, valid with a  student I.D.

This special gives you endless slices of pepperoni or cheese pizza, with  a drink, for only $6.

All pastas are made from scratch, and the pizza dough is hand tossed.

The most popular pizzas are the Pine Street Pesto or the Margherita Spring Street Pizza.

The most popular pasta is the Loaded Chicken Alfredo.

On the seasonal menu, the Cremona ravioli or butternut bisque is also quite popular.

The meatball sub is a favorite, as well as the cheese bread appetizer.

All Main Street prices on the menu include the tax so what you see is what you get.

For $6, you can get two slices of pizza with three toppings of your choice.

I had the pleasure of trying a custom slice of pizza. Let me say, I was blown away with how big each slice is. One slice was bigger than my hand.

I’m not usually a fan of the crust; I always pawn it off on my friends. But the crust here was the perfect amount of crispy, and it was delicious.

Overall, I am quite pleased with Main Street Pizza.

The waitress/waiter staff are super friendly, the prices are great, and the setting is comfortable.

This is definitely a local place for college kids.
