The third annual Library Associates Book Sale will be held Nov. 3-4 in the arcade area of Sherrod Library from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
As a growing tradition of ETSU Homecoming, the Library Associates will sponsor the bargain book sale as a fundraiser for Sherrod and other ETSU libraries.
“The money raised from this event goes into the Library Associates Foundation Account,” said Dr. Jean Flannigan, book sale coordinator.”It is then used on behalf of the library to maintain and support services, programs and the circulation.”
In the past, the sale has had a wide selection of many genres of books.
“We have everything from children’s books, bestsellers, and last year, one gentleman even found a book that was no longer in print,” Flannigan said. “It wasn’t necessarily valuable, but to him it was a real find.”
Community members and students are urged to donate books for the sale.
They can be dropped off at the Sherrod Circulation desk or at the designated loading dock at the back of the library.
Flannigan is enthusiastic about this year’s sale.
“For all of us who love books the book sale is great,” she said. “If you’re lucky you find a prize. At the very least you find some really nice and enjoyable reading material.
