Operation Boogie, an “Old School” Jam, will offer an opportunity to dance the night away, ending ETSU’s Homecoming 2000, next Saturday.
Make your way to the Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel, 2406 N. Roan St., for some “old school” dancing or just sit back and enjoy tunes from the 1960s to 1990s, including favorites from the Isley Brothers, Shaggy, Sugarhill Gang, Wild Cherry and Cameo.
Boogie the night away with DJ Todd Ambrose from 103.9 under the glimmer of a “disco ball” while munching on hors d’oeuvres and sipping on coffee and punch.
Be there at 8 p.m. and plan to stay until 1 a.m.
“If you don’t want to party, stay home,” said Karen Sullivan, assistant director Center for Adult Programs and Services.
Checks for advance tickets can be made out to ETSU.
Tickets for this event are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
All proceeds go to the ETSU Re-entry Student Scholarship Fund.
This scholarship assists students who are reentering ETSU after having been the primary caretakers for their households and who have proven academic success.
It is also intended to help students earn their first undergraduate degree and to help them prepare for the job market.
