Chris Forman scored 15 points, and Racquel Ellis added 14 as ETSU defeated College of Charleston 65-60 Monday in Southern Conference action at John Kresse Arena in Charleston, S.C.
With the win, the Lady Bucs improve to 6-18 overall and 6-9 in conference action, while College of Charleston falls to 11-13 overall and 7-8 in SoCon play.
The Cougars led at halftime, 28-25, but after Brittney Scarberry hit a jumper 12 seconds into the second half, the Lady Bucs went on a 14-0 run to grab the lead for good.
ETSU was ahead by as many as 12 points, and the closest the Cougars ever got was within three, at 58-55, with 1:55 remaining in the game.
Besides Forman and Ellis, Jessica Lonon added 11 points for ETSU.
Megan Jackson led the Lady Bucs in rebounds with six.
Davidson’s Scarberry scored 20 points to lead both teams, and teammate Wilma Simpson notched a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
College of Charleston travels to Appalachian State on Saturday at 2 p.m. before finishing its conference road swing at Western Carolina Feb. 19 at 6 p.m.
The Lady Bucs return to play at Western Carolina on Feb. 17 and play home again on Feb. 19.
