Hey guys, Bruce here. For months, you have been reading our columns and listening to our opinions. Sometimes they might have conflicted, and so we’ve decided to compete against each other. Every week, Todd and I will pick the winners of five college football games and explain why we chose that team. So without any further delay, lets get started:

Notre Dame @ Pittsburgh

Bruce’s Pick: Notre Dame.

Todd’s Pick: Pittsburgh

B — Notre Dame came off their first win of the season against the then No. 15 ranked team in the country, Michigan State. I’m not that big on the Fighting Irish, but I’m not that big on the Panthers either. So despite Todd’s disillusioned view of the Fighting Irish, Notre Dame wins this in a close game on the road.

T — Disillusioned view? I think you mean tried and tested disappointment. Every sport event I’ve tried to pick the Irish, they get stomped. Pitt wins big.

Arkansas (14) @ Bama (2)

Bruce’s Pick: Alabama

Todd’s Pick: Alabama

B — If former Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallet was still on the roster, I might have picked differently. Alabama’s defense is tough, well -disciplined and well-coached. Arkansas has the weapons to win this game, but the Crimson Tide’s defense and running game will be too much.

T — Totally with you on this. Saban is too much for the Razorbacks to handle. Bama wins going away.

 Oklahoma State (7) @ Texas A&M (8)

Bruce’s Pick: Texas A&M

Todd’s Pick: OK State

B- I’ll make this simple: last week, Oklahoma State allowed 33 points, 482 total yards and lost the time of possession game … to Tulsa. Nothing against Tulsa, but that’s a poor reflection on the No. 7 team in the country. A&M, on the other hand, allowed only seven points and 187 yards of total offense against Idaho. How can you not pick A&M … Todd?

T- Well it’s pretty much a universal rule that if there is one shade of orange absent in the football world, I go with another. Also, I’m a man!

LSU (2) @ West Virginia (16)

Bruce’s Pick: LSU.

Todd’s Pick: LSU

B — I’m with Todd on this one. I see the difference in conference play and for both of these teams to be ranked, their play couldn’t be different. LSU is going to overpower and win the game through the trenches. West Virginia wants to spread and throw. No surprise, but I’m going with many people’s pick to win the National Championship: LSU.

T – What he said.

Vanderbilt @ South Carolina (12)

Bruce’s Pick: S. Carolina

Todd’s Pick: Vandy

B- For those of you who haven’t been watching South Carolina this season, they’ve gone through the same story and script every game: get behind early and win it in the second-half. For the Gamecocks, it’s just different opponent, same story. South Carolina wins yet another close one at home.

T- Crazy? Maybe. The pick that will shock the world? Absolutely. Look, nobody pays attention to Vanderbilt in the football world, and neither will the Gamecocks. Vandy takes a lead and scrapes through the last quarter for the win.
