Oct. 8-12 ETSU Theatre and Dance- “Playhouse Creatures” by April DeAngelis
Continuing through Oct. 12, “Playhouse Creatures” will be presented by the ETSU Department of Theatre and Dance. Performances take place in the Bud Frank Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for students with student ID.
Oct. 9 “FL3TCH3R Exhibit” Opens
“The FL3TCH3R Exhibit: Socially and Politically Engaged Art” opens Oct. 9 in the Reece Museum on ETSU’s campus and will remain open through Dec. 14. This international and annual exhibit focuses on socially and politically relevant art. This event is sponsored by the Mary B. Martin School of the Arts and Reece Museum and Department of Art & Design. The exhibit is free and open to the public. Oct 14- Oktoberfest Food Truck Rally in Pavilion at Founder’s Park
Join local food trucks as they celebrate fall for a food truck rally at the Pavilion at Founder’s Park. Area favorites such as Mimi’s Cookies n’ Creamery, Project Waffle, Spanqui’s, Let’s Taco ‘Bout it, Foodie Fiction, Opie’s Pizza Wagon and Joe Bill’s will all gather starting at 4 p.m.
Oct. 14 Bikin’ and Eggs hosted by Trek Bicycle Store
Trek Bicycle Store’s last breakfast trek of the season will take place Oct. 14. The trek leaves at 9 a.m. for a 10-mile bike ride begining at the Trek Bicycle Store in downtown Johnson City and goes to the Tweetsie Trail Quarry. Breakfast from both Bojangles and Open Doors Coffee House is included with the ride. This event is available to riders of all ages and experience.
Oct 16- Fall Break- no day/evening classes; university is open.
Fall Break begins Oct. 16. Day and evening classes are cancelled, but the university will remain open. Check the university website for special fall break hours.
