Let your voice be heard! Sing your heart out during karaoke night every Thursday from 9:30 p.m. to midnight at Wild Wing Cafe.

The positive feeling of karaoke night is felt throughout the entire Wild Wing establishment. Talent is not required, and everyone is welcomed to participate. Wild Wing is a laid-back chain amid a sports-bar atmosphere. If you don’t find yourself with enough courage to get onstage, the multiple elevated levels of the restaurant allow some serious people-watching before, during and after as the second-best option.

Karaoke culture can be described as nothing short of liberating. Putting fears aside and deciding to get on stage gives any individual the chance to be a star in the spotlight, if only for one night. The night may begin slightly stiff, but once the first brave soul volunteers the night truly starts to kick off. As the night goes on, the atmosphere and the people start to loosen up.

“I’ve performed a lot – ever since I was in elementary school,” said ETSU junior Bailey Townsend when asked how it feels to participate. “I still get stage fright really bad too, though. I think it’s something that most people can’t help but experience. Once you feel the rush of being on stage, all the fear is worth it. One secret though: It never hurts to have a drink before you go up to give you some liquor courage!”

Karaoke night at Wild Wing Cafe is all about having fun. Kick off the weekend the right way by belting your favorite song or just enjoying dinner with a show.
