Tad Dickens worked with the East Tennessean from 1993 as a news reporter, sports writer, sports editor and executive editor. He graduated from ETSU in 1998 with a degree in communication.

With a passion for music, he now works in Roanoke, Virginia, for The Roanoke Times as a music reporter. Tad’s job has allowed him to interview great musicians and review concerts for the past decade.

Before music reporting, he was a Bedford County government and court reporter. Then he covered the Roanoke City courthouse. Tad also served as online editor for a weekly tab with The Roanoke Times.
