The future is bright for the new D.P. Culp Student Center as more features are still to come in summer 2020.
With the new additions of University Career Services, the Counseling Center and the Student Media Center, the Culp Center looks to evolve even further in the summer.
Career Services looks to launch their new room on the second floor of the Culp Center, where they’ll look to continue to shape the student’s futures at ETSU through advisement in their new offices.
The Counseling Center will begin their student outreach in the Culp Center starting in the summer, where they’ll continue to help students through troubling times with professional counselors.
The Student Media Center is already in the Culp, but it’s getting some new additions. By the summer, it will house a chroma key room where students will be able to gain experiences working in videography. Additionally, The Edge 89.5 HD4, an alternative rock station ran by students, will move from Warf-Pickel Hall to the Student Media Center.
That’s not all for the Culp Center, as the new renovations will shine a light to the Boulevard Commons, which ETSU looks to make a more dynamic space where students can have an emphasized experience through fire pits, outdoor fitness, plazas and other engagement opportunities. Unlike the other renovations, the Boulevard Commons will not be completed until fall 2020.
