One ETSU student and one ETSU employee have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus this week, according to an email to the student body as well as faculty and staff from ETSU spokesman Joe Smith Thursday.
According to the email, both individuals are improving and there is no connection between the two cases. The identities of the two individuals were not released.
The Northeast Tennessee Regional Health Office will trace and notify any people that may have come in contact with these individuals
The university said they will not provide updates for every ETSU student, faculty or staff with a confirmed COVID-19 case moving forward.
