In an email to students, faculty and staff Friday afternoon, ETSU President Brian Noland announced the implementation of a COVID-19 Dashboard that shows data of the university’s COVID-19 cases.
The dashboard, located on the university’s Bucs are Back website, displays the total number of active and recovered cases, as well as those quarantined in ETSU housing.
As of Friday evening, there are nine active positive cases – eight students and one employee – all currently in isolation. Ten individuals are quarantined in ETSU housing. There are 118 recovered cases – 100 students and 18 employees – which only includes individuals who have recovered from a positive COVID-19 test since July 2.
The numbers reflect data from all of ETSU’s campuses combined. According to the dashboard website, the data may not fully represent the number of total cases because some people may not self-report positive test results to the university.
The dashboard is updated every weekday evening.
“I greatly appreciate all that you are doing to protect your health as well as the safety and welfare of your colleagues, students and classmates,” Noland said in the email.
