Many students on campus are from the Tri-Cities region, but many students come from various other regions, as well. It is important for all students to learn about the fantastic fall activities in the region to take advantage of!

If pumpkin patches are your thing, you are in luck! Two highly popular pumpkin patches in the area are Laurels Pumpkin Barn and Fender’s Farm. At each of these locations, there are pumpkins, gourds and other local produce to indulge in. These are also great locations for fall-themed photoshoots to pumpkin-spice up your Instagram feed.

And speaking of Fender’s Farm, haunted houses are also very popular in the region. Fender’s Farm, The Haunted Forest in Jonesborough and The Funhouse Haunted Attraction in Bluff City are home some very thrilling haunted attractions.

If haunted tours are more your speed, Appalachian GhostWalks is a local ghost walk tour guide that even offers a Haunted Historic ETSU GhostWalk to give you a haunted past to campus! Bring some friends and enjoy the screams!

A popular pastime for locals is taking a hike on the cooler fall days and enjoying the beautiful foliage from the Appalachian Mountains that surround campus. The Pinnacle Mountain Fire Tower in Unicoi, Tennessee, Warriors’ Path State Park in Kingsport, Tennessee, and Laurel Falls Trailhead on the Appalachian Trail in Hampton, Tennessee, are some local favorites when it comes to exploring the scenery of East Tennessee.

Campus has many fun fall activities, as well. Tailgating at the ETSU Buccaneer Football games is an annual fall tradition on campus. These tailgate events can be found in the parking lot behind Warf-Pickel next to the parking garage. The ETSU Farmer’s Market is also a recurring weekly event during the fall semester on Thursdays.

More activities held on campus can be found on the Student Activity Calendar at https://go.activecalendar.com/etsu/site/students/.
