White Rock Loop at Buffalo Mountain Park: This is a moderately difficult hike that is a 5.1-mile loop. There are occasional steep inclines, making the hike rather difficult at times. Overall, the hike offers beautiful mountain views of Northeast Tennessee and is a well-maintained trail located near Johnson City, Tennessee. 

Whitehouse Cliffs Trail at Lamar Alexander Rocky Fork State Park: This is another moderately difficult hike with a two-mile out and back trail. There are 360-degree mountain views located at the overlook. You can fine this trail located near Flag Pond, Tennessee. 

Roan Mountain Hike on Appalachian Trail: This beauty is easy to moderate difficulty depending on your hiking experience, with about a five-mile hike roundtrip. The duration of the hike is around three to four hours. Experience mountain bald overlooks or 360 views of the Appalachian Mountains, located near Bakersville, North Carolina.

Margarette Falls in the Cherokee National Forest: Again, this route is moderately difficult to hike, with a 2.4-mile out and back trail. It usually takes an average of 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete, but there’s large waterfall located at the top, with two more waterfalls located above and behind it. This trail is located near Greeneville, Tennessee.

Blue Hole Falls in the Cherokee National Forest: This is an easy hike with a .5-mile trail leading to a base of a waterfall, creating a swimming hole. The path contains steep stairs that lead to the base, and it is located near Elizabethton, Tennessee. 

Bays Mountain Cherry Knob Fire Tower in Bays Mountain Park: This one is a moderately difficult hike with several steep inclines. It is a 5.6-mile loop that begins around Bays Mountain Lake. The fire tower offers a great view of the mountains with benches at the top to rest, located near Kingsport, Tennessee.

Sill Branch Falls: A hike at Sill Branch is an easy to moderate hike that is 3.6 miles out and back. This hike offers walking along a stream with occasional inclining. After a fork, the trail leads to a view of the beautiful Sill Branch Falls, located outside of Erwin, Tennessee, in Clarks Creek Area.

Point Lookout in Panther Creek State Park: This is an easy hike that loops four miles total. The trail has a few inclines, but it offers a great view of Cherokee Lake and the Cumberland Mountains, located near Morristown, Tennessee.

Whitehouse Cliffs in Rocky Fork State Park: A hike here is moderately difficult. It’s two miles out and back. There are rocky, steep paths occasionally, but the hike offers a great panoramic view of the mountains. This hike is located near Flag Pond, Tennessee.

Tweetsie Trail at Powell Square Park: Finally, this is a moderately difficult trail that is 20.30 miles out and back. It takes an average of nine hours to complete. The trail is open to biking, trail running and hiking. This trail offers beautiful views year-round.
