Buctainment hosted a fun and interactive magic show from Kid Ace during this year’s Preview.

About 1700 students were in attendance for the show. Students were even called up on stage to participate in magic tricks.

“This event provided students with a fun event before diving into the semester,” said Lily Milam, the Budget and Records staff programmer for Buctainment and event lead. “This is the third time we have brought him for Preview with great turnouts each time. We will definitely put this event on again, most likely for Preview next year.”

Buctainment provides performers and acts for Preview to pull new students out of their comfort zones to interact with the performers. Preview is a wonderful time to welcome new students to campus and showcase events on campus.

“We wanted to give the students an idea of the events that Buctainment brings to campus throughout the fall and spring semesters,” said Milam.

This event has always been a great way for incoming freshmen to step out of their comfort zones and meet other freshman on campus.

“From the moment I met the new freshmen and transfers, I got so excited to hear about the various passions they were bringing to ETSU that it took me back to my freshman year excited to truly dive into learning everything I could to my major,” said Elizabeth Robinson, a new Preview and Orientation Leaders Organization (POLO) member.

Buctainment adds so much to Preview weekend and truly brings smiles, laughter and life long memories for freshman to gain before even starting college.
