BucWild is a student led organization that is dedicated to any ETSU student that would like to support ETSU athletics and is looking to enhance their college experience as a whole.

Caelan Peterson serves as the coordinator of Student Engagement for Athletics and Students and is passionate about being supportive of all sports here at ETSU.

“BucWild as a whole is going to be rolling things out for all fall sports, so we are going to have a presence at every sport and almost every game. We have a whole new marketing plan which includes a new logo and a new leadership team,” Peterson said.

Peterson also spoke on the much-anticipated football season and how BucWild will be involved.

“As far as football goes, BucWild is going to have a tailgate area. We are going to be doing some potluck and funded meals that are open to everyone, along with a tailgate DJ. We want students who aren’t involved in anything to have a place to come out and meet other organizations. BucWild wants to be the launchpad,” Peterson said.

Along with BucWild handing out tickets to football games throughout campus and giving away ETSU merchandise, the trendy “Hype Crew,” which consists of several different BucWild members, will be leading new chants and dancing on the sidelines, all to keep the fans engaged and the blue and gold spirit high at all times.

“A family presence and a good time” is how the energetic Peterson would describe the BucWild experience.

For Morgan Colley, the senior advisor for BucWild, being a part of this organization has made her college experience an unforgettable one.

“I’ve always wanted to come to ETSU and it’s made it feel more like at home. One of our mottos is that we want BucWild to feel like is a big, fun family,” Colley said.

A crucial goal that BucWild has in order to continue in their newfound success is to have younger students fill the void when senior leadership graduates.

“We are making sure that we give it a good student base to ensure that it is constantly growing and maturing and has a good foundation to keep it going.”

The Bucs went 7-0 under the lights of William B. Greene Jr. stadium last year, and with the help of BucWild members, they look to keep this trend going.

If you would like to get involved with BucWild, the best way is to follow their social media accounts, email Morgan Colley (colleym1@etsu.edu) or go through BucHub on the ETSU website and access the link to BucWild.
