Crowds wrapped around Wild Wing Cafe on Oct. 12 to join in on the “Girl’s Night Out” party, hosted by Electric 94.9. The event included door prizes, contests and a live performance by TikTok star, Jax.

“We’re really excited that we were able to bring Jax to the Tri-Cities for a really unique, fun and free event that’s open to the public,” said Jason Reed, program director for Electric 94.9.

Jax is a 26-year-old artist who has been climbing the charts after her song “Victoria’s Secret” gained popularity on TikTok. She wrote the song for a girl that she babysits, with the intention of showing her, and other girls across the world, that they are perfect just the way they are. Jax’s performance at Wild Wing was just one stop on her tour.

“Electric 94.9 loves the message that the song sends to women about body positivity,” said Reed. “We love that there’s a connection in a song that really crosses demographics.”

The “Girls Night Out” party opened with a mother-daughter lookalike contest, which pairs from the crowd could compete in. They then brought volunteers up on stage for a “finish the lyric” contest to win Yung Gravy concert tickets. Prizes were thrown out to the crowd as they cheered for Jax’s arrival.

Jax performed three songs, including “Victoria’s Secret,” making jokes with the crowd, and inviting one audience member up on stage to sing with her. Jax shared positive messages to her fans, gave out autographs and even took a picture for a fan’s BeReal. The event ended with a group photo.
