As the holiday season rolls into Johnson City, Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland brings a new light to the Tri-Cities safari style.

Native to Bristol, Tennessee, the Shadrack’s experience began with a wish to unite its universal love of Christmas with its passion for music. From this, its first drive-through Christmas Wonderland was born.

Shadrack’s now spans across multiple states along the East Coast, including three Tennessee locations, three North Carolina locations and single locations in Florida, Alabama and Pennsylvania.

The light show allows the community to enjoy an entire theatrical Christmas experience in the comfort of your own vehicle, featuring an entire synchronized light show that correlates with music on a specific radio station. To experience the light show, you show up, pay the entry fee of $25 per vehicle and tune in to the specified radio station.

With an experience native to Bristol, Shadrack’s was excited to bring the Christmas joy back to the Tri-Cities area to share the holiday spirit with all who celebrate. The new location resides in Gray, Tennessee, on the Appalachian Fairgrounds, which is located just 30 minutes from campus.

Each scene featured in the drive-through tells a part of the complete holiday tale, lighting up the night sky with music and excitement.

Shadrack’s is committed to giving back to the community by spreading positivity, and it’s shown through the process of carefully handcrafting each element, bracing and tediously programming them to perform with the music.

The light shows have gained national attention based on their success, and with the help of sponsors such as ETSU, the University of Tennessee, Texas Roadhouse and many other companies and local radio stations, Shadrack’s has made a return to the Tri-Cities.

They have even received national recognition from Forbes magazine, in which they praised “inventiveness and elaborate choreography.”
