Two of ETSU’s grad students, Cait Maltbie and Annie Hutchins, are being featured by the Small Art Gallery at Crumb Bakeshop in Johnson City.

Maltbie and Hutchins are students with ETSU’s Department of Art and Design. They are printmaking students under Professor Sage Perrott.

The Small Art Gallery exists in a rotating exhibit form both at Crumb Bakeshop and in King Commons Park at the Atlantic Ale House. Each tiny gallery is only 20” x 20” x 20”.

As a rotating exhibit, it features professional artists and students. The exhibit has featured over 30 artists, including ETSU students in the past. These students include ETSU extended media students, featured in May 2022, and ETSU printmakers in Professor Sage Perrott’s class.

It is a work of public art, for the enjoyment of all. Artist participation is free, and volunteers and donations keep the Small Art Galleries running.

To quote the Small Art Gallery’s website, “The Small Art Gallery is a public art project. Artists from emerging to student to professional are welcome to create exhibitions for the public.”

If you are interested in visiting the exhibit, it may be found at Crumb Bakeshop at 500 West Walnut Street in Johnson City.
