According to a recent update sent out by the ETSU Office of University and Marketing Communications, TikTok will soon be blocked on ETSU Networks.

“Recently, the Tennessee General Assembly voted to enact SB 834, which prohibits colleges from providing access to TikTok and other social media platforms operated or hosted by companies based in China,” the update read.

The ban will go into effect starting tomorrow, March 28, at 12 p.m. Users will “no longer be able to access TikTok through ETSU’s wi-fi or wired networks.”

This is a developing story.
