ETSU’s PartyBucs, in collaboration with 20 different student organizations, will be hosting a back-to-school event on Thursday, Aug. 31, from 7 to 11 p.m.

“Buc Block started out as a mini music festival, but it developed into something much more,” said Caelan Peterson, coordinator of student engagement.

The event is free, open to the community and will source its all-night music entertainment from four live bands and a DJ. Attendees can also find four vintage merchandise stands and six food vendors on-site.

Will Hart will start the night off at 7 p.m, followed by Red Hill Bluegrass Band, Christian Newport and headliner Trevin Sluss each playing 30-minute sets from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Main Street Music will then DJ the remainder of the night from 9 to 11 p.m.

“The night will be filled with fun, food, music and dancing,” said Peterson.

On the day of the event, Buc Block can be found at 918 W. Maple Street, the staff parking lot on campus beside the Sigma Phi Epsilon house, Sigma Alpha Epsilon house and ETSU Internal Audit house.
