CULLOWHEE, N.C. (Nov. 11, 2023)The ETSU Bucs went on the road to take on Western Carolina University in the Blue Ridge Border Battle; unfortunately, the Catamounts walked away with a 58-7 victory over the Buccaneers.

ETSU’s lone touchdown came as a three-yard rushing touchdown by Trey Foster (Knoxville, Tenn.). Foster finished the day with 58 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries.

The Bucs will move past this game and head into the final regular season game at home against The Citadel (0-10). The Citadel is still looking for their first win, and the Bucs look to end their season on a high note.

This matchup is the last collegiate game for some of our senior Buccaneers, like LB Stephen Scott (Greensboro, N.C.). When the ETSU football team met with the media on Monday, a reporter asked Scott about the importance of closing the season with a win. Scott replied, “It’d be really important to get this win, especially for the younger guys on our team, to finish off a season strong even though it hasn’t gone our way. It’d be a huge win if we can get it done.”
