For only $10 ETSU students can see a Broadway show right next door.
In association with ETSU Student Life and Enrollment, students can purchase a discounted ticket to the 2024 Martin Center Broadway Shows including “Jagged Little Pill,” “My Fair Lady,” “Jesus Christ Superstar” and “Mean Girls.”
There will be fifty discounted tickets to each show that can be purchased at the Carrier Center. Payment must be made with ID Bucs and valid ETSU ID. Students can only purchase one ticket. However, there may be some tickets left on the day of the performances for students to buy multiple tickets.
“For some students, this may be their first chance to experience Broadway musicals,” said Carter Warden, director of student activities and organizations. “But we realize that some students will not be able to purchase full price tickets, so we have chosen to make the ticket price more accessible.”
“Jagged Little Pill” goes on sale on Nov. 28 through Dec. 8 for the Jan. 10 at 7:30 p.m. show. “Jagged Little Pill” features strong language, adult themes, drug use, sexual violence and other disturbing images that could not be suitable for younger audiences. It is recommended for ages 14 and up.
“My Fairy Lady” goes on sale on Jan. 16 through Feb. 8 for the Feb. 12 at 7:30 p.m. show.
“Jesus Christ Superstar” goes on sale Feb. 13 through March 13 for the March 18 at 7:30 p.m. show.
“Mean Girls” goes on sale March 19 through April 24 for the April 29 at 7:30 p.m. show.
The add-on shows “Shrek” and “Stomp” will not be included and will not have student discount tickets.
ETSU students can upload money on their phone at an ID Bucs kiosk in the Culp or on the GET app.
ETSU students can become involved with the Broadway shows by volunteering with the Martin Center.
“Volunteers play a vital role in the success of our programming,” said Sara Allen, director of sales and marketing at the Martin Center.
