On the evening of March 1, the ETSU chapter of Turning Point USA shared a post on their Instagram displaying photos of vandalism done to the Veterans Memorial outside the Quad.

An ETSU spokesperson condemned the actions done to the memorial.

“We are aware of the vile act of vandalism that has occurred and are taking immediate steps to remove the defacement to the memorial,” said Jess Vodden, chief marketing and communications officer. “Our service members — most especially those who have fallen in service — deserve our utmost respect. This behavior is a violation of ETSU’s code of conduct and the law.”

Anyone who has information regarding this act of vandalism is encouraged to contact ETSU’s Department of Public Safety at (423) 439-4480 or bucprevention@etsu.edu.
