Day One – ETSU’s women’s golf team had a solid first day at the Low Country Intercollegiate. Junior Sophie Bert (Deurle, Belgium) showed an impressive finish, with four birdies over her final six holes which helped her secure the top spot, tied at even-par 72. Senior Grace Chin (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) and freshman Brianna Castaldi (Port Saint Lucie, Fla.) performed well, tying for fourth at 2-over-par 74.

The team’s overall performance was strong, with the most birdies on the day and leading in par-3 and par-5 scoring. ETSU’s total score of 11-over-par 299 gives them a two-shot lead over Richmond and seven-stroke advantage over Western Carolina.

Day Two – The ETSU’s women’s golf team continues to impress at the Low Country Intercollegiate. After the second round, the Buccaneers are holding onto their lead, shooting a 15-over 303 for a total score of 26-over-par 602, just one shot ahead of Richmond. Brianna Castaldi and Sophie Bert are leading the charge for ETSU, both tied for second at 4-over-par 148.

Grace Chin also performed well, tied for ninth at 8-over-par 152. The team’s strong performance is reflected in their continued lead in birdies and their new position as the tournament leader in par-4 scoring.

Day Three – The ETSU’s Women’s golf team had an outstanding performance at the Low Country Intercollegiate. The Buccaneers led from start to finish, capturing the team title with a five-shot win over Richmond. This victory marks their first team win since February 2022. Brianna Castaldi’s strong performance, finishing tied for second at 6-over-par 222, was a key factor in ETSU’S success.

Castaldi led the field in par-4 scoring with consistent rounds of 74. Sophie Bert also had a solid showing, placing solo sixth at 9-over-par 225. The team’s dominance in par-4 and par-5 scoring, as well as their 35 birdies over this weekend, highlights their overall excellence throughout the tournament.

The Lady Bucs are now preparing for the Chattanooga Classic on April 7.
