The upcoming ETSU women’s volleyball season will have a familiar face at the helm. Lindsey Devine, the most decorated winner in program history, enters her 16th season with the Bucs. With over 292 wins for the Bucs alone, Devine returns with a determined to win attitude, cultivating a brand-new culture for the volleyball team. Coach Devine held the ropes from 2003-2018, before a stint as the head volleyball coach at The University of Alabama before returning to ETSU. Coming off a 6-23 record last season, which saw the dismissal of the entire coaching staff, Devine and the team will have a lot of room for improvement.

Alongside the addition of Coach Devine, Emily Arnold, a former volleyball player for the Bucs, Aaron Giorgi, a former Wright State assistant, and Adam VanOort, who has over a decade of coaching volleyball at the high school level, have all been added to the brand new Buccaneer volleyball coaching staff. Devine and staff will be trying to capture lightning in a bottle for a second time, as for the first stint as head coach, the Bucs were lead to three NCAA volleyball tournament appearances.

“Grateful, some nerves for sure, but full of love.” said Devine in an introductory press conference with WJHL back in February. “In order to build this house, we’ve got to build with a foundation, and that’s where these young ladies are, and we’re kinda on ground one, we’re going to build it together, and I believe we’ll have time this spring to build a great team.”

The ETSU volleyball team will begin the upcoming fall season preparation with multiple summer camps being offered, running from June 15 and July 15-18.
