Construction on a new Integrated Health Sciences building starts this Fall 2024 semester following approval by the State Building Commission. The building will be located alongside State of Franklin Road.

ETSU plans for the building to help continue to be a national leader in interprofessional education, specifically in health care fields. The new facility will help future health care professionals by providing them with skills and knowledge to enhance the quality of patient care.

The facility will provide students with a place to develop skills and teamwork in clinical settings as well as simulation labs. Along with this, ETSU and Quillen College of Medicine hope that the Integrated Health Sciences building will strengthen the connection between health care fields on campus.

The facility will be providing quality health care to the public while helping students learn firsthand what it means to work in the field.

Services that will be provided for the community include social work, addiction medicine, diabetes management, family medicine, dental hygiene, physical medicine and sports medicine.

“The $55 million dollar project will provide modern space to provide health care services and instruction,” states Jeremy Ross, vice president for administration and chief operating officer at ETSU in a recent LinkedIn post.

The building should be complete during the summer of 2026 and will be designed by Moody Nolan, Inc. The contractors have yet to be announced for the project.
