On February 23rd at 7:30 P.M., a new and original experience of musical theatre will be available for all ETSU students.

Patchwork Players is a theatre student organization on campus led by Jonah Harris-Furches and Kit White. The group is focused on “show[ing] other students that theatre can be accessible to all majors and minors, with various levels,” Harris-Furches said. All of the events put on by this organization are “student-led and supported by faculty members of the Department of Theatre and Dance.”

For this semester, the organization is showcasing its talent on the “Love & Heartbreak Musical Theatre Revue” for the students at ETSU showing at the Bud Frank Theatre. Harris-Furches has stated that the event will “consist of popular musical theatre songs pertaining to, well, love and heartbreak.” Some of the shows where music has been selected include “Waitress,” “Falsettos,” and “Dog Fight.” This event will be directed by Freshman Musical Theatre major Molly Burnett and Senior Musical Theatre major Stephen Cradic along with being co-organized by Sophomore Kit White.

This event has the doors opening for them at 7 P.M. with the show starting at 7:30 P.M. and running to 8:30 P.M. According to Harris-Furches, “the event is free but members of the community are welcome to bring cash donations to support the organization.” For students of the university interested in being a part of the fun on stage, please be aware that Patchwork Players is open to all ETSU students and they must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 to join.
