Even though the semester is ending, there are plenty of art exhibits for viewing pleasure. The ETSU Department of Art and Design, in collaboration with the Reece Museum, will proudly present the Spring 2025 BFA Senior Exhibition, which students can view from April 14 to May 23. The Reece Museum website called it a way to “showcase[s] the culminating work of five Bachelor of Fine Arts students,” these students being Adrian Crawford, Hazel Grandy, Sarah Grider, Bri Hagy and Audrey Holladay.

Within the work of these students, their own artistic voice can be seen within their respective exhibits. Adrian Crawford’s work titled Escapism features “ink drawings using different mediums and video pieces,” according to the Reece Museum website. This is described as focusing on “breaking free from traditions and expectations,” as well as healing from past hurt and growing as an individual.

Hazel Grandy’s piece, titled Defining Appalachian, also uses ink drawings. She utilizes these to bring in a “desire to see more Appalachian representation in art and media.” Another student’s work, Sarah Grider’s piece titled Chasing the Rainbow Connection, expresses the same sentiment of a desire for connection and love. Her work is described as “intaglio prints” that reflect on “chasing connection, love, and human experience.” Bri Hagy’s Mildly Inconvenienced uses colorful pictures and portraits to exaggerate “relatable and mildly inconvenient” moments of daily life. Audrey Holladay’s piece titled Cryptic Coloration explores what the Reece Museum describes as “the natural camouflage of female birds and how it relates to feminine experience.”

All of these students’ work has great meaning behind it, and the Reece Museum is proud to showcase it for the ETSU student body to see. For these students’ work, a reception will be held on April 17th from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. in the Reece Museum.
